Risk Disclaimer
Last updated: March 2026
IMPORTANT: Please read this risk disclaimer carefully before using SmartBotScalper. Trading financial instruments involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor.
1. General Risk Warning
Trading in financial markets, including but not limited to foreign exchange (Forex), contracts for difference (CFDs), commodities, and precious metals (including gold/XAUUSD), involves significant risk of loss. The high degree of leverage available in these markets can work against you as well as for you. You should carefully consider whether trading is appropriate for you in light of your financial situation, experience, and risk tolerance.
You could lose some or all of your initial investment. Do not invest money that you cannot afford to lose.
2. CFD and Forex Risks
CFDs and Forex are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Between 74-89% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with various providers. You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money.
Key risks include:
- Leverage Risk - Leveraged trading magnifies both gains and losses. A small market movement can result in proportionately much larger losses
- Market Risk - Markets can move rapidly and unpredictably, especially during news events, resulting in significant losses
- Liquidity Risk - In certain market conditions, it may be difficult or impossible to liquidate a position, particularly during extreme market events
- Gap Risk - Market prices can gap, meaning your stop-loss order may be executed at a significantly worse price than intended
- Currency Risk - If you trade in a currency other than your base currency, exchange rate fluctuations can affect your profits and losses
- Counterparty Risk - Your broker may become insolvent or fail to meet its obligations
- Regulatory Risk - Changes in regulation may affect your ability to trade or the conditions under which you trade
3. Past Performance
Past performance is not indicative of future results. Any historical trading data, returns, equity curves, or performance metrics shown on this platform represent past results only. There is no guarantee that similar performance will be achieved in the future. Market conditions change, and strategies that were profitable in the past may not be profitable in the future.
Hypothetical or simulated performance results have inherent limitations. Unlike actual trading records, simulated results do not represent actual trading. Since the trades have not actually been executed, the results may have under- or over-compensated for the impact of certain market factors such as liquidity and slippage.
4. Automated Trading Risks
Copy trading carries additional specific risks that you must understand before using SmartBotScalper:
- Execution Delays - There will always be a time delay between when a trade is placed on the master account and when it is replicated on your account. During volatile market conditions, this delay can result in significantly different entry/exit prices (slippage)
- Lot Size Differences - Proportional lot sizing may not perfectly replicate the master account's risk profile due to differences in account balance, leverage, and broker lot size restrictions
- Broker Differences - Your broker may have different spreads, commissions, swap rates, and execution speeds than the master account's broker, which can significantly impact profitability
- System Failures - Technical issues including server outages, network connectivity problems, or MetaApi service disruptions may prevent trades from being copied or closed, potentially resulting in unintended open positions
- Partial Fills - Not all trades may be successfully replicated due to broker restrictions, insufficient margin, or technical issues
- Strategy Changes - The trading strategy used by the master account may change at any time without prior notice
5. No Financial Advice
SmartBotScalper does not provide investment advice, financial advice, trading advice, or any other sort of financial recommendation. The Service is a technical tool that automates the replication of trades. Nothing on this platform should be construed as:
